Verse 33
“33And when Jacob had finished commanding his sons, he drew his feet up into the bed and breathed his last, and was gathered to his people.”

“And when Jacob had finished commanding his sons (it being his final words, these implorings – now thrice confirmed – are rendered of the utmost, critical importance; the depths of which even now, following careful exegetical examination, I believe we have barely begun [Phil 1:6] to comprehend), he drew his feet up into the bed (returning to the foetal position from whence he was formed: the full-circle journey of earthly exile so perfectly outlined in Isaiah 49:5 : “And now the LORD says, Who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, To bring Jacob * back to Him, So that Israel * is gathered to Him”) and breathed his last (our every breath upon the earth administered by- and given unto-, us by Our God as a gift; here His Servant Jacob utters the final one awarded him for such a time as that ☺️), and was gathered to his people (as previously discussed and finally affirmed in Isaiah 49, I would encourage us to pause and reflect here together at ‘The Profound Mystery’ intimated here of First, The Three Patriarchs of The Faith – now gathered & complete – as well as all of The Nation of Israel represented most specifically as a matter of identity in the man Jacob renamed Israel: the deceitful heart of stone transformed into a heart of flesh [Col 1:13] beating only for Its Maker *, gathered together as One in GOD 🔥🙌🏽🔥 For God’s Very Own People, His Most Treasured Possession In The Earth, The Descendants Prophesied Of- And Promised To-, The Father Of The Faith Abraham, Both Old Covenant & New, Are To Be Gathered Up Ultimately At The End Of The Age In The New Jerusalem! Holy, Holy, Holy Is The Lord God Almighty, Blessed Be His Holy Name! [2 Sam 7:23-24]).”
