Verses 3-4
“3Then Jacob said to Joseph: “God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan and blessed me, 4and said to me, ‘Behold, I will make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will make of you a multitude of people, and give this land to your descendants after you as an everlasting possession.”
– Genesis 48:3-4 (NKJV)
“Then Jacob said to Joseph: “God Almighty (El Shaddai) appeared to me (a visitation from God) at Luz in the land of Canaan (in The Promised Land: what a precious glimpse of eternity in The Presence of God in Heaven do we see here; that The Children of God will enjoy uninterrupted, unhindered, continuous fellowship with The Most High God in That Great Celestial City 😃) and blessed me (O how glorious to recognise that what Jacob is about to do is act in accordance, not only with a sacred tradition passed down to him by his earthly fathers, but ultimately with what he has actually seen his Heavenly Father do [John 5:19], namely, formally to bless His Children), and said to me (O to hear the audible voice of God!), ‘Behold, (see it as tangibly as if it has already come to pass 🙌🏽 for that is the Authority and Sovereignty with which The Spoken Word of God proceeds; it will not return unto Him void [Isaiah 55:11]) I will make you fruitful and multiply you (i.e. as Promised once also to Abraham, and graciously reiterated to the next generation and the next to strengthen their faith, it is God who will bring the increase, and The Promise must be received by Faith [Matthew 9:29], for that is the highest call of The Child of God upon the earth [Romans 4], and I will make of you a multitude of people (once again God is already prophesying of the multitude of gentile nations – not coincidentally also reiterated here in this very historically heathen gentile territory – that will be grafted into the vine becoming True Children, “True Israelites indeed” under The New Covenant, for His Name’s Sake, for the sake of the nature of prophecy [1 Thess 5:20], for the sake of His Word, for posterity’s sake for the sake of The Scriptures, for you at this very moment Beloved ❤️🔥 Reader; even if Jacob the man or those to whom he repeats it, are not yet able to see the full extent and implications of these powerful words in these moments), and give this land to your descendants after you as an everlasting possession (speaking of course ultimately of an eternal inheritance, The New Heavens and The New Earth which we will govern with Our King, The Messiah, from everlasting to everlasting . . . ).’ “
