Genesis 46:8-11

Verses 8-11

8Now these were the names of the children of Israel, Jacob and his sons, who went to Egypt: Reuben was Jacob’s firstborn. 9The sons of Reuben were Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron and Carmi. 10The sons of Simeon were Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul, the son of a Canaanite woman. 11The sons of Levi were Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.”

– Genesis 46:8-11 (NKJV)

“Now these were the names of the children of Israel (note the word “children” as prophetic harbinger of the age to come in which we shall cry out to Him: “Abba! FATHER!”; The Children of Israel; The Children of God; A Prophetic Chosen People from every tribe and tongue at the fulfilling of The Promise, called forth here in its infancy as the original Children of Israel are established tribally), Jacob and his sons (now wholly redeemed through confession and sincere repentance and The Mercy of God and Forgiveness of Sins also called forth prophetically, as The Finished Atoning Work of The Lamb of God, Jesus The Christ, in all its Perfection and Excellence is heralded from its manifestation in the natural near 4000 years in the future; all the brothers have now come full circle and have been washed clean, even as Joseph represents The Christ who pardons them even here, even now, and they are fully equipped to represent and father the very Chosen People of God), who went to Egypt (into the land of exile, representing all of God’s People The Christ most expressly represented here in Joseph going ahead of them in exile in this world; reigning victorious; bringing The Kingdom, in a land [again hear: the world] already but not yet fully their / our Own)Reuben was Jacob’s firstborn (a critical fact oft’ forgotten as the tendency, at least in my own case, is to consider Judah the firstborn son due to The Christ evolving out of his Direct Line). The sons of Reuben were Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi. The sons of Simeon (second-born) were Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul, the son of a Canaanite woman. The sons of Levi (third-born) (The Priestly Nation . . . ) were Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.”
