Genesis 50:7-8

Verses 7-8

7So Joseph went up to bury his father; and with him went up all the servants of Pharaoh, the elders of his house, and all the elders of the land of Egypt, 8as well as all the house of Joseph, his brothers, and his father’s house. Only their little ones, their flocks, and their herds they left in the land of Goshen.”

– Genesis 50:7-8 (NKJV)

“So Joseph went up to bury his father (“be it unto me according to thy word” [Luke 1:38], and it was.); and with him (the sheep of his pasture, following their shepherd who came to save them, loyally, devotedly, Lovingly [John 13:34]; hanging upon this Christ-type’s every word – as those described in Luke 19:48 – to share in his grief [Rom 12:15 *], and little do they understand also: to behold the triumphant procession of The Patriarch Israel’s burial, resurrection and ascension * to The Father of fathers) went up all the servants of Pharaoh (not only I believe at the behest of their redeemed leader, but willingly and wholeheartedly as implored by The Holy Spirit, having become representatives as the household of Pharaoh of a nation collectively, able to enter into the Kingdom of God, a harbinger of Hope to the gentiles for generations to come [Rom 11:11-31]; devout followers [Matt 16:24] of Joseph whom they have seen and heard firsthand [1 John 1:1])the elders of his house (a representative trickle down throughout the hierarchies of the nation – at such a special time of invitation [Eccl 3:2] – into The Kingdom of God, under the headship of their redeemed ruler and friend of Joseph, Pharaoh; beginning first with his own most esteemed confidantes), and all the elders of the land of Egypt (every member of prominence become a call and a signpost testifying to the territory won within this land for the King of kings at this hour), as well as all the house of Joseph (The Original FirstFruit Chosen People Of God [Luke 24:47] go to mourn and celebrate the burial, resurrection and ascension * of the last of The Great Patriarchs of Old, the one in whose name – Israel – the People of God are called to be set apart from the nations, sanctified and holy unto Him even in the midst of this peculiar moment where outsiders are invited in en masse for a brief season at the cusp of the establishment of its tribes: a promise of The Second Covenant in the midst of the formal establishment of The First)his brothers, and his father’s house(I believe “the house of Joseph” represents all the nations that are potentially able to enter in to the promise through Christ ultimately, his also being married to Asenath, redeemed out of the house of On, i.e. the widest breath of the outer courts. Then “his brothers” represent the formal Twelve Tribes of Israel and the original promise of “salvation to the Jews”, the inner courts, and finally “his father’s house” representing the Holy of Holies, the Three Patriarchs and Fathers of The Faith, The Elders of elders now seated in heaven together, a holy triune emulating The Holy Triune, the promise of intimate relation to The Father of fathers and the heavenly paternal overseeing [Song of Songs 4:8 (TPT); Eph 2:6] of God’s plans and purposes in the earth until its fulfilment at the end of the age upon The Son’s return.) Only their little onestheir flocks, and their herds they left in the land of Goshen (that the next generation who are not yet mature enough to share in the knowledge of the current season may tend the flocks, enlarge and maintain the territory won, learning and growing up in the good stewardship of the portion in this strange land given unto their forefathers for the glory of their God for posterity’s sake; serving also as placeholders in the fields left behind as the elders go up to God’s Holy Mountain, lest the enemy steal in and destroy such hard-won territory if left unattended).”

* It is important to understand that every True, Chosen, Elect Child of God emulates the pattern of death, burial, resurrection and ascension [John 11:25] exemplified in our Lord, the FirstFruit and Perfect Establisher of said pattern as also borne witness to within the holy baptism of His Saints; how especially and particularly then A Patriarch of The Faith and establisher of The Nation of Israel such as Jacob. It is worth noting then that when such as these described within this passage make a pilgrimage to share in the earthly rites of the death of such a one as this (“weep with those who weep”), they are as a matter of fact also going to celebrate his resurrection and ascension (“rejoice with those who rejoice”), whether consciously or not.
