Genesis 48:11

Verse 11

11And Israel said to Joseph, “I had not thought to see your face; but in fact, God has also shown me your offspring!”

– Genesis 48:11 (NKJV)

“And Israel said to Joseph, “I had not thought (Eph 3:19-20 🤗 & 1 Cor 2:9 🤩) to see your face (“I had mourned your death, esteeming it finished, yet I get to behold your precious face once more, O my Beloved Son [1 Sam 29:9A]!” A fact Israel still marvels at-, glories in- & exclaims with deep gratitude and much Joy after a considerable amount of time has passed; reiterated again also for our sake that we might share in the Joys of what God has done for this family in particular, as we appreciate this blessed picture of The Cross for our own sakes also just all that much more . . . ); but in fact, God has (God forever The Sovereign Executor of The Working of All Things for The Good of His People In Accordance With His Good, Acceptable and Perfect Will in His Infinite, Incomprehensible, Time-Transcending Wisdom) also shown me your offspring ( . . . for not only do we again delight in the fact that this grandfather is able to meet his Beloved Son’s children in the flesh and be awarded the honour of blessing them in The Father’s Name before departing to be with The Lord, but we also get to revel in the image of The Grand Saga of A Heavenly Father who loses His  Only Begotten Beloved Son to a cruel death for a season [Mark 4:30-33], in order that He might regain Him with many, many offspring [Acts 17:28 😌] : One Seed planted in the ground to yield a great and glorious harvest of many Sons: Jesus The Living Christ, The FirstFruits of Many [1 Cor 15:20])* “

* How truly, truly precious the sincere, childlike Joy expressed here by an infirm man upon his deathbed, as evidenced in the rapidity and momentum of the literary style and culminating exclamation point at its statement end 😃!
